Romane is a French artist blending soul, pop, and R&B into a warm, cinematic sound shaped by her multicultural upbringing between African heritage and Western influences. Raised in Lyon in a music-driven family, she began writing songs at a young age, teaching herself guitar and production while developing a deeply personal songwriting style. At 19, she fully committed to music and caught the attention of Un Plan Simple (Sony Music France), leading to a collaboration with producer Dan Black. Her breakout single “Fantasy” introduced her signature sound, followed by her debut EP I Know (2021) and album Ways of Dreaming (2022), where she explores themes of self-growth, vulnerability, and identity. She has performed on major French stages and festivals including Les Francofolies de La Rochelle and Woodstower, steadily building a strong live presence. Romane is currently expanding across Europe while working on her upcoming project Glow, further evolving her blend of soul, pop, and folk into an intimate yet powerful artistic vision.
